Package Overview

It is an invitation to walk in the savannah and the bush in the Rift Valley, to meet the Maasai people and in the landscapes of the Gols Mountains, also in Maasai territory and hiding many typical villages. But it is also to contemplate the magical light of Lake Natron and finally admire the spectacular nature with a capital "N" in the Serengeti and N'Gorongoro park with it’s impressive crater. An unforgettable stay with great moment.

The scents and sounds of the African bush are best experienced by foot. Here you’ll be walking alongside wild, freely roaming animals in their natural habitat. Your ranger is experienced and knows what you can or can’t do near wild animals.

Tour Timeline

  • Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro airport, your driver guide or our office representative will be waiting for you and drive to your hotel in Arusha for overnight at The Outpost Lodge.

  • En route to the region of the great parks, and first safari in the Tarangire Park. A must-see animal sanctuary renowned for its elephants and baobab forests. Overnight camping at Mto Wa Mbu.

  • After breakfast, early in the morning, drive to one of the most beautiful sites in the country, the Ngorongoro crater located 2,286 m above sea level. It is classified as a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO and considered the eighth wonder of the world. The animals stay there because of the abundance of water and food throughout the year. Their concentration in the crater gives an impression of earthly paradise and almost original purity. Overnight in public camping on the crater ridge. Overnight in a tent at the Ngorongoro campsite.

  • The Land of the Lion King, one of the largest parks in Africa containing one of the highest concentrations of animals listed in the world! Pure wild Africa. After breakfast, depart for the full day photo safari. Picnic lunch in the park then back to the camp for dinner and night in a tent in a public campsite inside the park in the central region

  • This will be another full day safari in Serengeti. You will wake up very early in the morning for the so calle an Early Morning Game drive. This will give you good time to enjoy seeing some animal while in active moves and also spot some hypos walking outside their pools for grazing before the strong sun comes out. You will overnight in the park at Serenera public camp site.

  • After breakfast, departure for the Gols Mountains, rock formations interspersed with acacia plains and pastures of Masai herds and antelopes. Lunches en route. Dinner and overnight in camping at the Masai Village called Piyaya. In this village you will visit Masai Boma and experience their daily lives and culture.

  • We leave this magical place with a Maasai guide, to descend towards the village of Piyaya through the meadow and the acacias trees where it is not uncommon to come across antelopes. After the village, we take an ancestral path that leads us from pasture to pasture. Discovery of small villages (Bomas), we will meet many shepherds guarding their herds of goats and sheep. Picnic on the way, climb by a small pass on the mountain of Sanjani and enjoy the magnifient view of the Lengai volcano, an active volcano in the region also believed as sacred mountain of the Maasai tribe where the elders practice their ritual ceremonies and practices, descent in the undergrowth to the plain. Dinner and overnight in a tent between pasture and acacias, another magical place. Possibility to start the hike at the village of Piyaya, after a short transfer, in this case walking time 5 to 6 hours or to do the first part of the hike, i.e. from the camp to the village of Piyaya (walking time will be 4 to 7 hours.

  • On the southern slope of the Gol Mountains, a small stream has cut a deep fault in the rock. We come across Masai who have come to look for water for their herds. It is also a nesting place for vultures. Transfer to the famous Lake Natron with unreal colors and its pink flamingos numbering in the thousands. On arrival water walk to the waterfalls of Ngare Sero and swimming (take shoes to walk in the water). Overnight in Camping at Engaresero Village near lake Natron.

  • Short transfer to the end of the lake towards Guelaï and stroll to observe the pink flamingos and other numerous birds. We take the road through fabulous landscapes of plains and volcanoes on a difficult track, little by little we leave the virgin nature and begin to encounter villages and cultivated land. Overnight camping at Mto Wa Mbu near Lake Manyara National Park. Walking time: 2 hours. Transfer time: 4 hours.

  • After the breakfast, you will enter Manyara National Park for game drive, pick nick in the park then drive back to Arusha and check in to your hotel just before dark. Overnight at The Outpost lodge or equivalent.

  • Depending on your International departing time, we will transfer you to the airport for your departure. If the flight leaves late afternoon or evening then you will have enough time to explore Arusha town and visit the local Marke, Masai Market for shopping etc. until your departing time.
